The hierarchy of baseball was allowed to do as much as the owners and the Union allowed it to do.
It’s not as if Selig has been proactive concerning the issue to begin with in the first place.
Now he comes out with the asinine statement that A-Roid shamed the game of baseball.
Selig has done the game an even bigger disservice by doing absolutely nothing at all.

And even with the advent of testing it’s still hasn’t really stemmed the tide of abuse. The 103 other names on the list should now be made public, rather than being left for people to specualte as to who’s actually on the list.

The union had the chance to destroy the evidence and they chose not to. Thereby allowing the Justice Dept to attain further evidence allegedly with which to pursue their indictment of Barry Bonds.

Now comes word that A-Roid may well have been in contact with an individual who’d been banned by MLB, for his alleged role in distributing steroids to players.
This is the story that just keeps on giving and just won’t go away.

It deals with A-Rod’s hastily convened press conference in Tampa.
