Michigan Football: Open to Interpretation

Michigan lost 30-28 on Saturday to Iowa.  The Wolverines should be proud of their effort.  Iowa was artificially ranked #12 so winning would have been “an upset.”  Conversely, Michigan outplayed Iowa and should be horrified that five turnovers and atrocious third-down conversions wasted that effort.  As with everything this Michigan season, there are two ways of viewing it.

ESPN Debuts 30 for 30 With Mixed Success

ESPN debuted its 30 for 30 documentaries project with Peter Berg’s Kings Ransom, the story of the Wayne Gretzky trade. I’m a history nut. I love documentaries. This project excited me. I wasn’t overwhelmed by this first effort, nor was I underwhelmed. I was…whelmed. I found it a bit nebulous.

Los Rojiblancos dominated Madrid’s shambolic defense, with a persistent barrage that stretched Ray Hudson’s metaphorical mind. If Iker Casillas was not such a manimal minding the net, Sevilla would have scored four or five. Why is Raul still in the squad against good teams? Barcelona beat Almeria 1-0 thanks to a Pedro cracker. They now are three points clear at the top.
